Live-edit Family B is fully viable in-session (~30s per variant).

Flux commercial-clear path for client work?

Verification 2026-05-20 confirms Flux.1-dev is non-commercial under BFL's standard license. Commercial use of Flux.1-dev for client deliverables requires one of three paths. This is no longer a "preference" question — it's a forced choice between three legally-clean options.

Path A — BFL self-serve commercial license for Flux.1-dev

Paid license from BFL (fee + possible revenue share). Cleanest legally; preserves the validated stack unchanged.

Path B — Flux.1-Pro API for commercial work

Commercial-clear by API consumption. Same generation quality, managed; ~3× per-image cost vs local. My recommendation for Phase 1.

Path C — Flux.1-schnell (Apache-2.0)

Open-source, fully commercial-clear, $0 license. Lower fidelity than dev/Pro. Cleanest cost-wise.
